    I have a Glock and a Staccato.
That there is the bastard child of a drunken night in a dark safe. Not since Romeo and Juliette has there been such an ill advised union. I’d rather be the first to ride a bull that was born from the combo of a Brahma and longhorn

It depends on your goals. For me, the X10 met my needs. I’ll add the laser academy at some point and will use them in concert with each other.

    Whee do you live?

haven't shot the LCP's much but I have a Taurus TCP380 for when I want something really small and easy to conceal (like in shorts pocket or something). As mentioned, any of the little 380s can be a handful with a light pistol and snappy ammo. I've been shooting it off and on for the past 6 or 7 years with handloads and factory HP rounds, never a hiccup.

For something a bit larger, I have a Kahr PM9, but have been eyeing something double stack as I'm carrying a little more often these days given the current climate and would like to have a few more rounds on hand.

Now Ruger came out with the RxM, will probably get one of those in the near future. I can see the aftermarket going nuts over their FCG options, more so than what's already out there with the G17.3 compatibility and inexpensive price.

I’ll wait until they come out with a 5”+ barrel variant. But first … gotta get that K-80.

I have no plans to own one. There are a couple things I do like though. Like the rear sight in front of the optic cut, that's an idea from Night Hawk's TRS series I believe. The Ambi slide release I believe is from Walther's PDP line.

The use of Glock Mags is from the Stealth Arms Platypus.

So I see the conglomeration...May be part of the evolution of the 2011 format.

So I got a trigger weight gauge for fun. Just measured a few of my triggers.
    Staccato CS - 4.5lbs
    Staccato C2 - 4.5 lbs
    Staccato P - 4 pounds
    Atlas Ares 3.5 pounds
    Staccato XC 2.5 pounds

Of Note: the P and XC have an Infinity flat faced trigger…not their whole kit, just the bow/shoe they sell for $100 cause I like a flat face trigger.

I have one coming from Infinity for my C2 as well. I’ll measure that pull weight after it’s installed to see if it changed. The C2 slide also just came back from Vulcan Machine Works. I had it machined for a Holosun 509. They did a spectacular job. Highly recommend. Price was pretty fair too.

    Had to google FCG :)

RXM seems like a helluva value. Probably gonna get one too....SxS, offroading, mud gun of sorts. Never know what kind of hilljacks you run into in the hollers.

Either the RXM $399 or Springfield XD-Mod 3 for $299.

Too far away for a range day you try my system.

Mantis will be at The Great American Outdoor Show in Harrisburg PA. Looks like an 8 hour drive for you. The show is massive and you can easily spend a full day and not cover everything.

If your into Outdoor Sports (Shooting, Hinting, Fishing) it would be a worthwhile trip. You can put your hands on all the Mantis stuff, compare it to their competitors plus see a ton more.

Been to that show a few times. Always think it’d be best to get a room up there and stay a few days

After much thought about this, I pulled the trigger, so to speak, on the Mantis Laser Academy this morning. It should be here this Friday and with the expected cold weather after this weekend, I'm sure I'll get it setup and try to spend some quality time with it.

Sorry about that. Fire Control Group. Basically the serialized trigger and basic action part of the pistol that is removable and has the serial number/registered. My understanding is that Magpul will be making the "grip"/housing in different colors (FDE, Grey, black, etc) and further on, different sizes (full size, compact, sub compact, etc) so you can swap parts around to fit your needs. The target was to bring the frames in around $40-50, so easy to try different options and see what you live, or give stippling a go, and not be too concerned about the costs.

Would be like having a good motor that you like that is very ubiquitous and being able to plug it into a dirt, supermoto, street, track, or custom chassis to suit whatever you are doing at the time.

Good choice. Anything that motivates you to dry fire is a win. Would be great if you’ll post your feedback after you’ve used it for a few months. It’ll help me decide if I should add it to my routine.
