Points and the future of V8

    carbs were around after 96. Seems like the bikes made a huge technological jump when FI (fuel injection) became standard. Is there any thought of extending the 1996 cut off for V7 up to the OEM's change over years for FI? This would make the last of the carb bikes (2002 or so) elligaable for V7 and all the "new" tech in the rolling year V8 class.

    Yeah, it's a selfish request having a carb'd R6.

    The V7 cutoff was based more a large tech/speed jump - had a 98 ZX6 that would be way faster than the current V7 MW bikes so I think the era line is better than just looking at intake style.

    I will say too that I'll look at it more when I have more caffeine and I'm not sitting outside the rv at a track :D
