They pretty much pop right out and I do a little trimming of the flash. This first one had a little extra thick flash because the molder didn't tighten it down all the way.

The mold for yours will be quite a bit different. I just came up with a relatively easy mold concept today.

Very nice, did well with what you had to work with in the beginning as well. Getting itchy to test them. I Kreemed my tank this past weekend and it's already peeling. No time to recoat so I bought a bashed tank today from Childadog to make the test date. I'll have the tank this Friday keeping me on schedule to test 1/30.

Things are starting to pick up speed....

Marchesini Type 3 parts will be on the way to Tractionless by tomorrow for testing.

The Marchesini Type 2 mold design is finished and I hope to have it made within a few weeks.

The Marvic "Donut" Type Cushion Mold is finished and I"ll be making that soon as well.

If anyone has an interest in cushions for Marchesini type 1, Carrozzeria, BST,OZ, or PVM wheels please pm me and we can discuss.

    Thanks for the interest,

    Timm

I would love to get a set of the type 3 once you are done. If you could send me a PM? I'm pissed at the money we all dropped for these wheels to have garbage cush drives. I'm used to most cush drives outlasting the damn bike. Thanks for the heads up SPL.

off topic. Anyone have a source for sprockets for the older 6 bolt Marchesini carrier from the 90s??? Vortex doesn't make them anymore...

    Keith,

Let me know what you think of the initial fit when you install them.

Type 1 and Type 2 molds Have about an hour of finish work and they will be done. I'll be ready to cast parts by Friday.

Keith rode a few sessions with the type 3 cushions. The initial fit yielded a little too much play, so I've adjusted the size of the mold cavities slightly. The size adjustment of the mold cavities has to be approached carefully because once you take metal off the mold you can't put it back on.
Also, since there are five cushions, every width adjustment I make for one cushion gets multiplied by five for how much play gets taken up because there are five cushions total.... Ten thousandths wider equals fifty thousandths of play removed. For perspective, ten thou is just slightly thicker than three sheets of notebook paper.
