That made me laugh out loud............well done.

 

My OCD is mostly random with a couple of "critical" items. Hallway light switches: I have one pair (stairway and adjoining hallway), and they have to face the same direction when the lights are off. I will do all kinds of changes to other processes and routines to make damn sure they are facing the same way at the bottom of the stairs when the lights are off. I will walk in the dark, wait for the girls to pass (because they do it wrong), anything to make sure those switches are "correct."

Dishwasher: Don't overlap stuff. We want all parts of the items clean, not just "mostly."

However, I completely lose control of certain parts of the house (like the shop, the office, okay, everything else) and just start stacking things and living with the mess. But it's ALWAYS clean, just disorganized. I'm either full on or full off.

Except for the light switches.

 

So what's your time frame between this and when you re-order the dishes in their proper place?

The wife washes the dishes by hand, then just puts them in the dishwasher to sit and dry. Never understood that. Haha.

She says it is to save electricity and water. She never had a dishwasher growing up and is used to washing them by hand.

 

TP over the top
Canned goods labels facing out and sorted by size
NO crumbs on kitchen counters
NO dirt on floors
Toilets must be PRISTINE at all times
Dishes washed immediately after using
Beers lined up in fridge in order and given names
PB&J must be spread evenly and exactly

And here's a couple of things that piss me off that may or may not pertain to this thread....

Sleeping
Sitting down
Sitting down to eat
TV

 

You're missing out on the PB "gasket". You spread the PB on both slices of bread. You spread the J on only one slice, but not quite as wide as the PB. Then, when you put the slices together, the PB seals around the J and keeps the J from running out the bottom of your sandwich

 

That sounds like solid science.

Until you take a bite and break the seal.

I solve this by eating Goober Grape, LOL! I remember eating it as a kid in the 70's. Good stuff!

 

All our dishes match and are exactly the same. I care not the order in which she puts them in the cabinet.

 

Proper PB&J if you eat that sort of nasty shit.

I like peanut butter and I like Jelly. I do not like them together in any form or fashion.

 

Unless you eat your PB&J in space or hanging upside down from the ceiling, gravity will keep the J from running out the bite hole.

 

I'm already imagining the conversation with my wife when she asks me "WTF are you doing?" the next time I make a PB&J.

"PB-gasket, baby. It's science."
