Yamaha is cutting its funding so they can pay some decent Electronics Engineers to fix the MotoGP woes for the Yamaha Factory team. Far fetched? Maybe.. Maybe not.
Jebus, I hear about this, and I'm in Canada this week, but nothing here? Or will my Yankee Cuzin Johnny give me what I deserve? https://www.ajc.com/news/local/yama...with-new-headquarters/UzyoNgq8mUBIoEYCxgvRGJ/
That's too funny, Suzuki used to own one of the buildings next to them. Shut down the warehouse and sold it last year. Looks like Yamaha may open a warehouse up here in Cherokee County too.
I guess Georgia is where it's at, huh? https://www.pinkbike.com/news/fox-factory-planning-to-move-hq-from-california-to-georgia.html
They are late to the party. The Southeast is the New Mexico. Engineers are flocking to the area and the demand is through the roof. Quite literally the asking price has gone up 10K in less than 6 months. What I used to be able to recruit a 5 - 7 year up and comer for at 65K is now closer to 80K. Big places like Mercedes, BMW and the Aerospace places are offering good relo packages too.
caliporno priced them selves out of the market. plus all the rediculos regs are driving companys out, stupidity reigns supreme ,
I live in NeGa but my us home office is in Detroit. It’s next to impossible to find engineers here, even half decent ones. Most you will have to import and pay accordingly. The growth is far outpacing the talent pool on many levels.
Bring in Indians or pay the few you can find way more than they are worth. Shit man, it's worse in China lately. The Chinese bail if they get offered a few dollars more, the Taiwanese don't want to go to work in mainland anymore and good luck importing any Indians.
Me too. Need a Nuclear Engineer who can fix big valves? (I mean like really big, not the piddly ass stuff in heads). Oh, and since I'm retired my compensation package has to include nappy time every day from 1:00 to 3:00.
The south is more Manufacturing engineering related vs product development, especially in automotive. I came from the product development side of things now I’m on the PM side of things so I get involved in all of the business from quote to warranty. Adds some variety to the types of stress you get. Japan last 2 weeks, just hit send to fly to Mexico Monday - wed.
