I think a S&W Performance Center 2.0 in 10mm will be the winner. $700's quite reasonable.

In my search for a 10 mm, i saw/read a lot of issues with SW 10mm and thats why i went with Springfield.

Maybe the performance center was exempt of all the failures or SW has the issues fixed now?

I will have to do some research on that. Thanks @gapman789

I have a FNX 45. I don’t like the feel of the grip. Shoots good. It’s just a home defense gun with a can on it. I haven’t shot a Glock 40 but if I was looking for another 10mm that’d probably be it. The Delta is a great gun but it could use a little more weight. I’m not a fan a of any M&Ps or Springfield polymer pistols.

Any issues with the new-ish P-09 Nocturne? This is basically an optical cut P07 so initially there was no concern with reliability when the Nocturne came out, but man there's a crap ton of people with problems with it.

I almost grabbed one back in August at a local gun show....Glad I didn't from what I've researched.

Man, kinda eye-balling the new Springfield XD Mod 3 for $299.
Optics ready, 16+1 capacity, hammer forged 4" barrel.

Be a good mud gun in the SxS.

I like my GLOCK G20 10mm because I can feed it 40 Short & Weak, or 10mm and it just runs.

Man, hold the presses on the SW....FN510 in FDE w/Holosun 407 for $799. Vance outdoors is based in OHIO only. 2 of them are within 35 mins of me and have pretty awesome deals IMO.

edit: Oh shit...FN has a $100 instant rebate that works at checkout ( i just did a mock check out) that puts it at $699 + tax+ free shipping for out of staters.. $754 out the door since i don't have to do an FFL transfer.

    ...and there's this FN510 tactical (threaded barrel), $825 - $125 instant rebate = $700

Yall keep me updated once you get some time on these things. I keep saying I’m gonna add a 10mm to the arsenal because bear gun. And this one is towards the top of my list of considerations.

Yup, matches my P07 tactical well (need to just go ahead and buy a can for it). Little over 750 rnds after today and not a hiccup. Have only ran 124g Aguila and PMC through it, but it's worked as expected so far. Shot it back to back with my G19 w/optic cut slide and Holosun mounted up, and it feels like it shoots a little flatter. Maybe stiffer recoil spring? My 14 yr old grandson shot a couple of magazines through it and no issues with him either. Like any mass-produced machine/tool, some are made better than others. Hoping, and seems like, I got lucky and got a good one.

Same here, my G20 satisfies my desire for a reliable 10mm. Bonus it can handle 10mm and .40 cal.

Right on. I have an earlier model Canik MC9 that a lot of people had issues with. It's been perfect for me with at least 1000 thru it.

Do you have any issues with 10mm feed/ ejection from the carbon ring left from the 40?

None that I can tell. I don’t run a lot of .40 through it. Maybe 200 rounds in a years time. Just nice to know I can if I want to.

I like the FN pistols but it's probably partially because I shoot pistols lefty (and rifles right hand, I'm right eye dominant). I grew up shooting pistols left handed but because of shooting "standard" pistols I still do a lot of the manipulation in my right hand. I'm trying to teach myself to do that in my left hand now, but still want something that's fully ambidextrous. Hence the FN pistols. I started with the FNP45 tactical, sold it for the FNX (there were loading issues if you weren't using standard mil spec ball ammo as it was built for a govt contract). Put an RMR on the FNX and got a 45 can for it. Still like shooting it and the trigger seems to be good enough. I bought a 509T a couple of years ago. Juts put the Apex internals into it (trigger, extractor, firing pin) and it's a lot smoother and again, good enough for me. Put another RMR on that recently. also bought the 502 (22lr) since it's supposed to fit the same holsters and have the same dimensions. So far it's been good, put the Apex SS guide rod in it and haven't shot it since I put that in but it's been solid with a without a can with CCI SV and Quiet SA.

Overall I like the FN stuff. I had one of the SLP shotguns a few years ago and liked it but already had a remington 1187 SP turkey gun that was almost identical (barrel length, semi auto, black, etc).

I looked at the 545 and 510 but I didn't want another caliber to reload (10mm) and the trigger on the FNX45 I thought was better than the 545 so I kept it. But wouldn't hesitate to buy either one if the price was right. and that's tempting with the 510 w/ rds.
