I rattle canned it once, but it didn't look anything like the above examples, I prepped like crazy but the execution was clearly sh1t, so I'm condemned to pay someone to do it for me. I recently got 2 cheap sets of fairings and i think ill give it another go.
Street fairings: Original track paint: Tossed it and repainted: Tossed it again at Roebling this weekend so I'm going for the next round of paint when I heal up. edit: Sorry for the ginormous pics...
Thanks. Can't beat the price Umm they are for when I go 2 up. Kidding. I use them as extra tie down anchor points and for extra protection in case of a fall. I know some say they catch and toss bikes but they've saved the tail twice IMO. I need to get a different hanger so I can remove them on race weekends.
I take it you suffered through that awhile back.... Seriously... I dont have a enclosed trailer so it keeps the Southern Monsoons out....
Meaning, shame ya tossed it and had to do it again? Only reason I'm doing mine now! The shame will come when I toss it again...
Damn guys. I am thinking mine is going to be the first shame photo. Ha. I still have some work to do.
Damn, some of y'all are really good with a rattle can! Looks better than I do with a compressor/hvlp gun setup. What brand/formulation of paints are you guys using?
Here's mine Wish I had pix of the Interceptor that was done with different shelf paper every weekend (Don Fines bike I believe) - the original vehicle wrap. Had an FZ750 I did in engine paint blue with a mist of engine paint red over it for a cool purple effect. All done on the sidewalk outside the garage of course. The FZ also had trunk paint once but Sublet made me scrape it off because it was flaking off in the rain at Grattan
All rattle can rat rod. You can't see the 8 ball shifter, but you should. 12 miles an hour has never been so fun. plus, it squeaks like a cartoon
