Ok, I know that not everyone here has pro paint jobs on their bikes. So lets see your masterpieces and major flops. I'll post my work in progress tomorrow (I forgot my camera tonight)

The tank is OEM paint. Everything else I used rattle cans. Not hall of fame I know but oh well. I'll save money for a paint job later.

What's up with the passenger pegs on the first bike?

Old trackbike, not bad for my first paint job

Crashed it, fixed it, painted it black and put a bunch of stickers on it

New bike is a GSXR750 with the same basic theme - flat black with whatever stickers are in the toolbox to hide the crappy paint and body work.

IMO, rattle can is the way to go for club racers. You are gonna throw it down, just save the money from that high dollar paint job and uprgrade your gear or buy some tires.

Those look dam good for rattle cans. I have compressor and spray gun which have led me to entertaining the idea of painting my own. Might just go with the spray can instead.

I spent many hours doing mine last year and it still looked pretty bad, and then I crashed it right away so it was a huge waste of time. Next time I'll probably just spend the $300.

This was my first and only rattle job that I did after getting my first set of bodywork back in '06.

Then went to Barber afterwards, and proceded to run off in the gravel trap in T1. Front end dug in, after letting all the way off the gas, sending me & bike cartwheeling. Considering.... it wasn't too bad other than JUST having painted it. :D

I agree.....rattle can is the way to go.....unless you're good enough to be a sponsored club level guy, chasing money.

Wow, everyone's looks really good. I've done one basic 2 color set of bodywork so a big +1 to all the painters that taped up designs for their bikes!
