Bob is a great guy.
John brought the bike to Loudon once so I had the opportunity to chat with him for a couple of minutes. I don't remember what year or why he brought it there but JohnnyB probably remembers.

 

Was that the year Nick Ienatsch was taking one around to AMA Nationals and doing demos? I saw when that was happening. Still have the pics. Incredible machine.

 

I keep reading your post and smiling… great beginnings by so many racers happened like this I believe… just a dream, a snack, and a fellow racer making the difference… makes me want to start a “how’d you get started thread”

Bob is great and I think most of us have random encounters with good people that made a difference no matter if they were a vintage novice club guy or a former world champ
