Article says the cat was a juvenile 80lb kitty - slightly small for a female where they average 90-110lbs and really small for a male which averages 160-200lbs. The things are no joke and we have them in our area - trust me when I'm out trail walking our 17lb mini-schnauzer my head is on a swivel. Sooo many stories locally about these cats being silent killers and last year one dragged a smallish 90lb deer 40' up a tree and started snacking on it in plain site of nearby hikers.
I seen a video of one take a neck'd deer up a tree like it was carrying a purse....impressive strength. They can jump 20 feet straight up from standstil
I'm guessing they have never experienced a house cat you're petting go from nice kitty into attack mode instantly.
I imagine tanglin' with a wild cat would be like getting involved in a knife fight. Win or lose, you're gonna bleed.
The only attack i ever witnessed was a 120# lock claws into friends carhart coat and try to pull him into cage, while trying to bite him in face. The cat was trying pulling him in, but diudes pulled body was closing cage door on cat's arm, wich was outside of cage....catch 22. Crazy. Took him 7 seconds to break loose. hahahah We was going in cage to play w/ it when it happened, and He says to me, "That's the wrong cat!" lol
I remember you talking about this. That was when I decided you weren't someone to get to know too well since the pain of loss would be great. Yet, here you are still.
I cant not!!!!!! I love them all!!!!!!! <3 Look at the forearms on that girl......Like Popeye! They forearms were like vices, they would lock forearms into cage-wire and it took everything you had to pull them off
