Because anyone who points out a track is unsafe for roadracing or tries to improve safety conditions for racers while standing by their word is a whiner, apparently. Just ask some of the jackholes on the beeb
Yeah.. people will call him a whiner right up until they hit the wall and then complain why nothing was done about it. I applaud Mat for sticking to his guns.
I don't know that he's so much a whiner as arrogant. You kind of earn that when you've won as many titles as he's had. Doesn't make him a nicer person, though I've seen him at the track interacting with the kids who come out. He's as nice as can be and it appears to be genuine. That's cool FWIW.
Even if yosh and every other factory team packs up and leaves someone will race. Right or wrong that ain't my call. Wasn't there some troubles, fines and banning last year at the moto st race there last year? One step forward, two leaps back. . .
Iowa. What would WERA say? It's the riders responsibility to decide if they are going to race or not. However, most of us are not under contract to race. Then again, we also do not have a safety committee that went there several times, inspected the track and gave it a .
Did this surprise anyone? You could see it coming 6 months ago. (strictly an armchair QB question). I also wonder if he just poked around M-O for the same reasons. You could just see the fact he wasn't riding hard, especially at the entrance to Thunder Valley where the wall is so close.
He said he's waiting for the fat chick with the "Pussy Racers" sign to show up next so he can punch her right in the bunt...
http://twitter.com/OnTheThrottleTV "Cardenas and DiSalvo poaching track time in the MotoGT prac. I guess you can do that when your team owner runs the prac day." Are they not supposed to be allowed in MotoGT?
