What would eating the salary mean? I'm assuming his contract guarantees monetary consideration, but is there any language guaranteeing him a ride? If not, I'd guess it's ~$1 million to simply pay him what he's owed and put someone else on the bike. In the grand scheme of motoGP annual budgets, it doesn't seem like all that much.

i meant pay him his full salary , with the loss of the satellite team I was inclined to think that they were not in a financial position to pay an additional salary but you're probably right, not too much of a drop in the bucket for them!

Lin Jarvis says Yamaha should have offered Toprak Razgatlioglu factory Yamaha seat in MotoGP last season

"We should have offered Toprak the place in the MotoGP factory team in July 2021. But his mission was to win the Superbike World Championship first before he thought about other options and alternatives.

"And there's no guarantee Toprak will come to MotoGP and surpass Franco Morbidelli or anyone else. I am convinced that Toprak has tremendous potential. We have a lot of respect for him. He tested our MotoGP bike but we couldn't do it very extensively."

It makes no sense for Suzuki to bail this year, 2023 is last full fossil fuels, they do not have to invest anything for 2023 and still have a competitive bike.
