Even as soon as last year, NO ONE would have been saying a Pramac Ducati near the front. Look how far we have come. I like it. -jim
I thought I read an interview that the extra fuel does not make up for the advanced electronics the factory teams have.
Which is why he's "near the front" instead of "at the front". Regardless, we're seeing him as high as top-5 instead of racing for 12th like last year.
He set his fast lap with a green striped rear, so that probably helped him a good bit. More than the extra fuel. The full factory guys can't use the green striped rear.
I actually had that originally.....Dovi with the rain win after Pedrosa crashes out while in the lead.
Ducati "leaked" their factory software, so while they don't have the benifit of the Factory ECU they do have a good many parameters to look and play with. Also that they are so close to the factory team. I imagine that they get plenty of help on the setup side of it. Regardless, I'm glad to see him up there and beating the red bikes. He needs to be on one of those next year and crylow can go home.
Gollum Rabbat is likely to pass a kidney stone during the race Sunday. Poor fella is not feeling well.
Ducati is running full factory spec software. They're are allowed a hybrid of factory and open class rules.
