The media is hyper focused on Boeing right now, hence world wide reporting of every little hiccup. Working at the airport, panels gone missing, speed tape making cowling aerodynamic, ramp rats punching holes in planes, it’s all par for the course, but now instead of some maintenance guys chuckling about it, the whole world going “arm ai gaaad”

Doesn't take an aviation expert to see missing bolts, Boeing sucks!

Navy jets are far (very far) from setting the standard for overall cleanliness on internal components, but that makes a Navy jet look good. FWIW, I had a couple panels come off jets (TFOA), it happens.

The story Boeing is putting out, on the back of the 787 cockpit seats is a switch to move the seat. It is supposed to be used to move the seat forward to stow your bag or aft to actually get into the seat. No, not the normal switch on the SIDE of the seat. “Apparently” this switch does not have a safety cover and a FA handing up meals contacted the switch and moved the seat forward…..yes, stills smells like a cattle yard excuse to me.

It's not a "story Boeing is putting out" and the switch does have a cover, as stated in the article in the post you quoted.

Come on. The switch is not connected to a pressurized cylinder that fires the seat forward that then pushes your body in a split second into the stick and causes the sudden nose dive. Anyone with two brain cells would smell that bullshit a mile away.

“sorry officer, something hit my seat forward switch and caused me to come closer to the car pedals and that’s why I’m doing double the speed limit. Scouts honor”
