GM/Cadillac in for 2026... https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/...-fia-formula-one-world.69uoRF1uwHwXkr4efkpnhc
All depends on why you think he stepped down at Andretti Global. FWIW I read yesterday that he does actually still own a minority stake (<10%) in AG, so even though Michael 'lost' he still might not come out of this too poorly. Also, of course, there's the fact that they seem eager to put Mario front and center for this thing.
There was a story about Michael loosing 50 million on an AI stock for his SPAC fund. That pissed off Andretti financial backers who had enough , time to retire.
Maybe an American on the grid in 2026… https://www.espn.co.uk/f1/story/_/id/42638229/mario-andretti-gm-deal-ferrari-power-units-objective

I missed the nuances of why Michael is not involved in the new team and why he had to step away... TLDR?
Perez cost the mechanics a huge bonus for Constructors finish placing. Hope he can't look them in the eye after this season.
Wasn’t there smoke that Perez’s sponsor was going to offset any constructors purse loss by keeping Perez in the seat for the rest of this season? That would be a sweet deal for RB since they wouldn’t lose money and get better testing limits by coming in 3rd. Not sure if that included bonuses but that’s really up to RB since those would come from their operation profit/budget which wouldn’t be diminished by having Perez in the seat.
Colapinto has moments of brilliance, yesterday wasn't one of them. Perez needs to go, he's embarrassing.
The only answer that makes sense is that he has information about something shady that Red Bull did that could get them the death penalty. He was doing fine when he was just doing a replacement inside his mind. When the hype started and turned the gig into an audition for a potential seat next year, he started to make mistakes trying to do too much.
