Seeing Kawi, Yamaha and Honda hot rod 300s may not suck totally though. The stickered headlights will be awesome

 

If KTM downsizes the 390 to a 300, and Suzuki gets 300 out and we have a real deal series, it could be rather interesting indeed. I don't imagine in a million years that that happens but I can dream.

 

Now we just need a Panigale 300.

 

they're creating parity by weight and dyno limits. it isn't strictly a "300" class. the initial technical bulletin is in the link.

i'm pretty psyched about it, as i hope it'll standardize the production feeder classes worldwide.

Honda CBR500R
Kawasaki Ninja 300 (EX300ADF)
Yamaha YZF-R3
KTM RC390

 

HONDA CBR500
KAWASAKI 300R
YAMAHA R3
KTM 390

So, sort of a 300 class.

Wow! I guess Honda wrote that rules package. Sure the CBR500 is a dog, but damn, that's a big displacement advantage for such a small category.

 

Is this where MA will end up in 2018?

 

Now if they will continue that trend and have a Grom World Championship.

Ducati could just downsize the Supermono and they would be good to go!

 

Maybe once Honda kills off the 600rr and the others potentially follow suit?

 

Cool idea, especially multiple OEM's.

300, 600, 1000SSTK/1000SBK. Good concept for MA as well, IMO.
