I'm not sure which "current model" Krämer you're referring to there, but the forks are not something we use in another bike. It's the WP 6500 series cartridge with a custom top-cap for more preload adjustment. The rear shock is the same as what's on the EVO2, but with different valving.
That was MotoAmerica's doing. It should be a fun event though, and the AMA has been a big supporter of the series in general.
The point is to enjoy one on a racetrack while you physically can, not as a living room piece in your seventies. And if your assets continue their reverse mitosis due to the choices you make, it is even more urgent.
Got to spin some “spirited” laps close to the Kramer 350 on my ninja 400 at Barber, it looks good on track.
I could be wrong, but I saw a very neat looking 2 stroke and it looked a LOT like the 500 2t that Suter produced. This was at VintageFest so if anywhere it would be there. Also, I got the PVM TZ 750 Magnesium wheels done. Seeing Kenny Roberts ride his at Barber made me firm enough to get back on that project.
I got a question, whos the sumbitch on the goddamn thumper Kramer at Barber giving me fits on my 675. Fuck man I was holding on for dear life and that fucker kept riding around the outside of me and hadnt felt like a fucking novice in a million years. Oh BTW the fucking lean angle/throttle ability on that bike was insane. Ive never seen a bike leaned like that and work that well. I don't know what he was doing for times, but I can't imagine too many people going faster on a single cylinder around Barber.
I wasn’t there… but an educated guess would be Kyle Ohnsorg. Did you catch a number? 178? Is that you following in that pic?
Kyle Ohnsorg (178) was riding a 690 really well, he showed me a wheel a couple times on Saturday. However, Ross Olson (33R) was doing 31s on his 690 Sunday, he showed me a wheel a few times and had the race been two or three more laps, probably would have made it stick. I'm guessing 1:31.7 is the fastest a single cylinder has ever gone around Barber.
