I’m sure most of you have seen the 320 drama lately. If not the Cliffs notes are more 320’s had “uncommanded discharges” then Sig launched a terrible social media campaign. They doubled down on how safe the and reliable the 320 is and it’s all made up by anti gun groups and calling influencers and trainers that spoke poorly of the 320 “Engagement Hacking Grifters” then they ended with we’re fighting back now and it all culminated with…”IT ENDS TODAY”
So of course somebody made this

Been thinking bout one again. The Mke seems pretty solid. If I get in would definitely be an SD version. Can you show your builds on this?

    MKE is a good option.
You may also want to look at POF (Pakistani Ordnance Factories).
I have an HK made HK94 and a POF MP5.
    They shoot identically.

Well since this is technically a handgun thread (lol), how about I get us back on track temporarily with todays acquisition. Funny thing is it will only stay in this configuration for as long as it takes for an expert model to show up. These green ones were a limited run HK did for a specific dealer and the experts were already gone. So I bought a tactical and will order an expert this week, swap frames when it arrives and voila IMG_1641.jpeg

Well hell....timely post above about the P320. Im grabbing a Sig P320/M17 with Deltapoint Pro 2.5 moa tomorrow. A friend took it on as part of a deal on a jeep she sold.

I knew about the P320 issues but it's an $1100 setup that i'm getting for 1/2 that. If I don't wanna keep it, figured i'd take the dot off of it and trade the gun on something at a LGS .

A buddy just picked up a 320 DH3 for $900 and I’m pretty sure it had never been shot. We took it out today and nobody had to go to the ER. I actually liked it a lot. at this point I wouldn’t carry it AIWB but maybe for a competition gun where it spends very little time loaded and holstered.

Then latest rumor I heard is now Sig is suing a training company for defamation. They have not had an incident on their range but banned them anyway so it’s defamation according to Sig o_O

The story changed on a lot of the uncommanded discharges once the video came out. Most could be pretty easily explained. Now there are enough it makes me wonder if some people aren’t looking for a payday or maybe some people that have an ND just claim it was a 320???

Sig didn’t issue a voluntary recall for no reason. They also have a history of 1st gen guns with issues.

I’ve long wanted to like sig. I really did. Solid innovation. Good build quality. Appropriately priced for these 2 things. I owned 3 early in my foray into guns. But they have a real bad habit of pushing shit to market without proper testing/DFMEA and just beta testing on their customers.

I agree. I considered a 320 before I fell in love with the PDP’s and haven’t really kept up since. I thought the voluntary recall was due to a drop safety issue?

I do think it’s shitty how they finish testing with customers. There is no way they didn’t know about the firing pins breaking on the original 365, there was just too many people breaking them inside the first box of ammo if not the first shot. I was just getting into pistols and didn’t really know, to me Sig was well thought of. I bought mine after all of that was sorted but again they never admitted to a problem yet there are at least four different versions of the firing pin…but there was never a design problem. o_O

My wife carries a 365 and my dad has 4 or 5 but I won’t ever buy a new Sig that hasn’t been out for at least a year or two.

There was a 320 that fired in holster at a training course reported on YouTube this week. Don't know any specifics and don't remember the training company.

That was Achilles Heel Tactical. The instructor is getting destroyed. The first thing out of his mouth was along the lines of “was that that fucking 320?” Then he grabbed the gun and threw his customers mag. He never asked if anybody was hit because “he saw the hole in the ground” then he made a response video while driving his car. Dude needs to just put the shovel down and hope somebody else does some dumb shit quick. The 2A/training community seems to have an even better memory than my wife though.

He handled it so poorly and jumped straight to the 320 comment that a bunch of people think it was all setup.

    The hate is real.

Either way, a second sear just to make sure the first sear is safe isn’t exactly an improvement.

I highly recommend competing. You’ll learn a ton and will have fun while improving your gun handling, accuracy, and speed.

I find IDPA to be like trackdays and USPSA to be like racing. Cut your teeth in IDPA by competing in 4 or 5 matches then give USPSA a try.

I’ll second competing. Like trackdays -vs- racing, you’ll really learn where you need to improve, which will seem like everywhere at first. :D

Outlaw matches (that is, local club, local rules tylea) are probably even better than sanctioned events. Usually a lot more easy-going and friendly types. More guys there to have fun and just shoot rather than a crew of high-n-tight dudes that get a little wanky their splits are .05 off their usual.

I couldn’t give a 320 away. We sell all the configurations of the 365. That’s what people want now.
