Not sure of the specific numbering sequence involved, but I turned 70 back in Nov. last year.....so I'm guessing that middle age is also a distant view in my rear view mirror!

I went. It was a bit disappointing. The only firearm related things not available at Green Top were ballistic gear and AR build components.
If I was into Vintage firearms, there was a decent collection, but I don't know enough to know if they were interesting to a collector.

Cool, three hours of getting your ass kicked over 7 stages? If that’s right, not bad for any shooting event.

Thanks for taking one for the team :D Yeah, it’s just easier going to green top at this point. My inherited 303 is the last vintage firearm I’m going to bother with. If you go into green top to the suppressor section, ask for Tim/Timmy. He’s a bike nut too, and has or had some type of involvement with racing etc. so he’s super cool to deal with if you get into talking bikes and racing.

I got my B&T supressor this way. If I hadn't of gotten such a smoking deal $399.00 I wouldn't have done it. I can order from my LGS at 10% off list price for anything and if it's in stock they have it in hand within a week. We file the day they get it and I have been able to pick them up after 48-72 hours recently. Total wait of 2 weeks. The home delivery took about 2 months total. Not bad considering what it used to take but hard to be that patient. The delivery service left it sitting on my urban porch right out in the open. I didn't have to sign for it which was crazy to me.

The local machine gun club I’m with had the yearly open house with many firearms on display covering a very wide range of desirable weapons. After the display shuts down we have a shoot. After one of the breaks to tend to targets about 25 shooters went through their mags simultaneously. I let someone shoot my Thompson so I could sit back and watch the show.
Sadly transferable MGs are getting too expensive for most to justify ownership. I sold my transferables years ago to put the money into something more tangible. At my age post samples make the most sense.

Not to mention the uncertainty of what would happen if the decision is made to eliminate the NFA rules and process effectively opening everything up. I would guess transferable pricing would plummet.

Will never happen. The only thing even remotely close is potentially the removal of suppressors from that list. And even that's a long shot. I can't recall a single time in history when any significant gun legislation was repealed.

My prior suppressors were AAC, with the 51 tooth quick-attach muzzle devices.
Twist on / Twist off & move them between guns.
With the new HUB standard (LINK) most of the new suppressors are now compatible with the AAC - STAMP Mount (LINK)
My Otter Creek Polonium 30 + STAMP mount.

    Kind of a nice solution.

Tried a few more pistols this morning. PDP Pro, for all the raves about the trigger, kinda meh to me. I guess I'm not a striker guy, didn't seem a ton nicer than my Stoeger. To be fair it has a shockingly nice trigger for a cheap gun. Tried a few different CZs. Very nice, both ergos and triggers. Tried a few different Beretta 92s. GTS had the nicest sub $1K trigger. Ergos almost as nice as the CZs. Not in a position to pony up Shadow money at this time. Walked out with the GTS with range pack, which I didn't know was a thing. A range bag, holster, 2 18 round mags, 2 30 round mags. $710 out the door, which is I think $110 less than they had it listed for online.
Very accurate, soft shooting, and of course great looking. Really like the sights, probably be a while before I put a dot on it. The slide is very different, awkward to rack but getting used to it. Could use a short reach trigger. Vertec grip is sort of like a rounder 1911. The DLC coated internals make it noticeably smoother than the FS trigger.

lizard84 My “fuck it” list is lengthy

I’ve owned a Nighthawk, 4k plus, borrowed or rented high dollar STI’s, Staccato’s, all fucking great! Still, in most anyone’s hands a Canik Rival SFx and the Rival SFx Steel in particular is a match for any of them and at a sub 1K price.

Hayes Custom Guns. I may have a a deposit on. Custom Cobra 1911 DS. We will know in 18 months.

  17. I’ve looked at that, nice simple and effective solution.

  18. Just found out dude who moved in two doors down is a retired “agent” and owns a decent size tactical training deal based out of Fl. Was ironic when he pulled up to introduce himself and I happened to have my decked out rem 700 (thermal and supressed of course, plus a bunch of little carbon bits I made to replace pieces on the Magpul chassis that didn’t fit my shooting style quite right. Took a minute for me to figure out dudes questions about specs on the build were from a dude who knows his guns. He only has about 7-8 up here right now but I think him and I will get along just fine. I did inform him that as the self appointed coyote control guy from our hood that I will be hunting on his property and it’s actually in our very very loose HOA. He thought that was awesome I had that thrown in there. Property owners can still appeal at any time to have those rights removed but does make it easier when I piss off my neighbors with all the other shenanigans I do.

It allows me to add more suppressors to the AAC mount installed stuff.
Essentially a bunch of Polonium-30s + tax + STAMP Mount = AAC Ranger + tax
and I don't have to change anything.

  20. Love it. I’m big on modular stuff, some great stuff out there and some shit that is harder to use than not having it.
I am just having a coffee as I just woke up. Have an improved baffle that should slightly tone down the 300 win mag. I’ll be shooting less than ~170 yards where I’ll bet money a yote will pop his head out. So now it will just wake up the neighbors vs them falling out of bed because they think end of the worlds about to start.
Also got a bit better blanket for it. This guns intent wasn’t exactly to be used around my house yote hunting but wife’s out of town with the kid so I’m home alone so threw the BOG chair on the deck. If my neighbor bitches I’ll just say I saw a coyote trying to get into their yard (they have some sort or spaniel ) and I thought their dog was out. I had to act fast. Then they will thank me while I giggle. My neighbors are all peetty cool as I’m the coyote patrol. Been more than a few dogs snatched up on my street as close back at end of feb. I should be charging the HOA :)
