During my Q build day, I learned that 5.56mm heats the silencer 6F with every shot fired. So, that's about 600F of Ti after 86 rounds over 3 minutes. That glow makes me want to start smoking just so I can light a cigarette of that can.

Zero didn't seem to change as I was hitting 4" steel plates at 150 meters through a 9.69" barrel. Awesome gun.

Yes, I believe it is. I already have some LMT stuff though so no need for that. Buy the Radian so I can live vicariously through you and pretend I have both lol.

THAT, was my first Q rifle. Now, it’s an SBR in 8.6. Great gun, in both configurations.

I’m in the market for an OWB concealed holster that I will use 2x per month for a local competition series. After doing some research, there are many options. Is there any meaningful difference between Safariland, We The People, Crossbread, etc? Any to stay away from? Any you particularly like?

Safairland makes good stuff. I'm not a fan of hybrid holsters, so Crossbreed would be out for me. Definitely stay away from We the People, there stuff is B-tier at best. I would recommend the TRex Ironside, which a paddle style holster, ready to go on your belt. Or I would get the TRex Ragnarok which requires a 3rd party belt mounting system. If you go this route, I like GCode mounting systems, but Safariland is good too.

:stupid: I would just go with Safariland as it is kind of the standard. There are definitely other quality manufacturers out there such as TRex, Tier 1, G-Code, etc. but that's really when you start trying to dial to your exact preferences. Kind of like how I recommend more universal stuff like Glock or S&W for someone's first pistol. Then when they've got some good trigger time in, have tried other stuff at the range or out of their buddy's collection, start checking out stuff like HK, CZ, FN, Walther, etc.

Another vote for Safari land here. Most of the time I wear mine on my thigh rig for work or tactical training but works well on the belt OWB also.

I used a safariland for years with no issues. Apparently some careless eff did something to make normal people light torches over the serpa holster but again I used one of those for years with no issues. I actually like it better than safariland

Problem is people using serpas without training, particularly in high intensity situations. Way too easy to slip your finger in the trigger guard on draw if you got excited and didn't have good muscle memory built up.

    Thanks guys.

I’ll be placing my order with Safariland this evening.

I just bought two of the BladeTech Total Eclipse 2.0 holsters (Kydex) for OWB. One for my Ruger LC9S and another for my Springfield XDS Mod.2 OSP in 45acp. They can be easily changed from RHD to LFD and I also ordered the "Belt Lock" clips for both of them. I'm left handed and I hated having to remove my belt to thread it through the holster loops, and with Belt Locks, you simply loosen your belt, open the lock clips and slide them on over the belt then lock them in. They can easily be removed too, if you need to do that.......all without tools of any kind. The Springfield 45 has a Reflex Red Dot optic on it and it fits just fine into the BladeTech Total Eclipse 2.0 Easy on and easy off makes me want to EDC a lot more than before. Oh, and the Total Eclipse has an adjustable tension setup for "locking" the gun into the holster....that is loud enough that you can hear it click when it is engaged.

IDPA? I just bought a Comp Tac holster for my PDP steel frame. It mounts on a belt to be IDPA legal or with three screws it has a little offset and drop that is USPSA legal. For $60 shipped to my door from www.benstoegerproshop.com it punches above its price point.

Agreed We The People is hot garbage, Crossbreed is okayish but there are definitely better options.

Edit number two: good choice, hard to say anything bad about Safariland.

Reholstering seems to be the worst offender from what I’ve heard. I know most instructors won’t let you use them in a class and nobody lets you compete with them.

Guys check out Red Hill Tactical. I recently picked one up for my PDP Match that I shoot USPSA with. Double layer kydex and plenty of attachment options. Their site is kinda shitty and they take a month to get but totally worth it.

Well I didn’t even make it til Black Friday. Modern warriors has a sale going for a free Trijicon RCR if you spend $2k. So I grabbed one of these to get me most of the way there:

The remaining items I bought aren’t particularly of interest to most but figured this group would appreciate the pistol.

Man I love all things Beretta 92. I haven’t put one in the safe yet but it’s getting close. Sweet blaster.
