Let me be the first dickhead to say I was totally underwhelmed with my basically free M4. I. Have an M2 Anthony it is far better.

Beretta, steadily flying the MD flag upside down out of protest to MD nonsense. I pass there in the afternoons. I’m guessing the you-know-hoos are either too arrogant or stupid to get it. Been thinking about a Beretta pistol to show my appreciation :D

    What’s basically free?

The M2 is a great weapon , no doubt about it. The M4 underwhelming, not in my configuration. Different strokes for different folks.

Did some transfer work for an estate. Couple hours of paperwork for an M4. It’s my third auto 12 Benelli and a very good gun I just expected better considering how many people rave about them. But those people may have never shot other Benellis or they are vid game fan boys

I get that, I definitely went to the Florida gun show in Bradington to buy a shotgun, M4 wasn’t on my radar at all. I took two firearms that had lost that loving feeling for, both had intermittent issues, a Rossi 44 model 92 ( known to be Problematic at times) a Ruger 44 super Blackhawk (in need of a visit to the factory, not a common thing with those but.) I was actually ready to barter for a stoeger MK3 if they had one (Shoot Straight) they did not. Tried to steer me towards some $399 clones but I wasn’t having it. Lo and behold they had a new M4 $300 off. We came to a satisfactory deal with the trades and some ammo to boot.

I was happy, took it to the range as a stocker twice, I loved it, my wife loved it.

Just returned from the range after my upgrades, and the aimpoint on that scalarworks mount fucking rocks, price be damned.

I gotta do some YouTube on how to zero an optic on a shotgun.

My setup was pretty easy, they bill it as 1/8 co-witness, I’ll just say I hadn’t heard that one before but think lower 1/3 co-witness and you’ll get the idea. On the M4 which comes with a rail you remove the rail and mount the scalarworks assembly which already has the aimpoint on it.

The stock M4 ghost ring and Post are completely completely visible in the lower portion of the aimpoint sight. I rechecked the stock sight first with the optic off, then with the optic on and the gun I centered the dot in line with the post but well above. Zero the rest of the way standing offhand based on results at 25 yards. I then took to 50 to fine tune.

For anything above a rimfire round you probably don't need to clean the suppressor very often. Rimfires are dirty and the cans get caked up fast. I would say every 1000 rounds is good practice with them. I will say I have fired many more than that but it does start spitting carbon out and that shit gets everywhere. Rifle cans can go a very long time. I even heard people say that they never clean theirs as shooting the rounds will actually clean out the suppressor of left over carbon. I rarely shoot my pistols suppressed, but .22 cans can be cleared out a bit by firing 5.7 through them if they are rated for it. Guns shooting suppressed get dirty, really dirty but it's so worth it.

Beakthrough has a newish suppressor cleaner that you can supposedly dip the whole can in and then wipe off the carbon. I bought some but have yet to try it.

The disclaimer of not shooting leaded rounds through your Hybrid 46 doesn't bother you or is that disclaimer the same as "warranty is voided if shooting reloaded ammunition" legal BS?

So, it's a sealed can. Lead is "dirty" and causes more buildup. You can't scrub the baffles since it's sealed. Am I worried in this application? No. For one I'm shooting hard cast (after playing with the 44special cowboy loads) which isn't near as dirty. Second, I'm shooting a .430 projectile through a .46 can, so there is a place for that lead to go other than just the baffles. Last, I'm not shooting this thing on the regular. Once I'm done working up the loads, I'll make 100 rounds and then set this thing in the safe. Maybe play with it every few months just for giggles. I'll also be putting some very hot rounds through it, which should knock out some of those deposits. So let's say I shoot 100 hard cast through it a year, and that's highly doubtful. No, not really worried.

On the plus I'm pretty much done with the load work. There is no load data for something like this. The closest I could find was for a 350gr bullet out of a pistol. I started below that and it came out over 1300fps. I had to take that down 2.5gr of powder, got it to just under 1100fps. So dang quiet for as hard as it hits and very low pressure. Like a freight train! I guess basically 45/70 territory. I'm starting to consider building an 8.6 12" upper now. Just gotta see if anyone starts making some cheap "heavy" bullets for it in the future. Barry's makes a 220gr plated bullet specifically for the 300bo that's way cheaper than shooting something like a Sierra match king.

The reason I ask, I have a Hybrid and its already been warrantied once for "stupid" when I first got it. I have some hard cast 160 grain, 357 that I wanna run through a Rossi 92 but have been leary of fuggin up the can.

Run 'em. Just make sure you know what the velocity limit of the bullet is. You typically can't run lead at very high velocities. If you're not shooting them all the time, I can't see how it will cause any issues. JMHO.

Looking to finally pick up my first one. Looking for something in the 20x50. Under $300 would be great. Obviously a deal always attracts me like this below. My range only goes out to 200 yards but obviosly i would like it to handle atleast that if not more

Picked this up a year ago as my $800 Vortex was stolen by a parking lot attendant and I didn't notice til after I had left the lot. I can honestly say that it fulfills my needs for a simple spotting scope with pretty good optics, not to mention the price is right! on sale for $140.00 today.

If you haven't looked at it, a Stoeger M3K is a good alternative to the Beretta/Benelli setups.

Yep I know a couple guys with those and also the Mossberg JM. They seem to be very reliable good shooters

    I'm lucky, I have a Mossberg 500 for house, a (Benelli) HK M1-Super90, and the M3K.
    Different forms for different functions.
