No worries. I've learned that when I post stupid, I should just deal with the repercussions. I'm surprised that there isn't more.
LOL, I read that, and was like, OMG need to quote it before he changes it !!!!!!! LOL And Panther, that would be the exact same mongo who is a better asshole when he's sober
No, not really. The main difference is the product. It's one thing to tell people at a place where you hang out regularly about a product you're trying to promote. Going to a new place you have never been to specifically for the purpose of pimping a product is pretty much spam. That doesn't mean the kid is not a good kid, or that his heart wasn't in the right place trying to do something in exchange for the sponsorship is getting. It doesn't mean he's not fast or talented. But the facts are the facts.
the classifieds, where people PAY to advertise stuff. Skip "mentioning" a suit maker is quite a bit different than starting a thread about one on his first post. If there had been a "what suit should I buy?" thread started by someone else, and Frankie (or Skip) had chimed in talking about their sponsors, then i don't see a problem, because people have been asked for an opinion. Like I said, the post appears to be an innocent mistake/misunderstanding of the forum rules; but the rules apply to everyone, even if they're AMA fast, no?
I don't see what knowing him has to do with it. Even if it's the greatest product in the world, an unsolicited advertisement is still spam. By your logic, Ron Jeremy can send you viagra and cialis emails because you know who he is, and he's got experience with the product; and you wouldn't consider that spam?
It comes down to this. Frankie stopped by and picked up his suit. He was totally STOKED about the fit and finish. I said, if you could, post up your reaction to the product on a public forum. He said that he wasn't on the WERA board yet and I said, man its a good place where all my other guys hangout. .....
