Hope Jett is ok. No idea what that could be, ankle, knee, etc. not everyone likes him but I don't want injury on anyone, so hopefully it isn't a season ender.
Eli's start map must be awful given the past four races (including triple crown heats). Dude has all the speed but starting damn near last is killing him and with Jett making some mistakes, he needed to capitalize. Hopefully Jett's knee is okay.
Did not work for him ? Looks like he and his mechanic need to up there game with something a little stronger!! Lol
With all the talking he has done in the last couple of weeks I figured he would be faster.... Maybe he should concentrate on that... Talking smack never goes over well with the racing gods
Yeah it sucks about Jett, it kind of looks like he pulled the front brake a little too hard and the front end pushed and he dabbed his foot and it kind of tweaked something. If you notice he stays well clear of Anderson, like well clear, if you look at the incident it looks like he is about to run into Andersons rear wheel and then the front end slides and he dabs his leg...I wonder if Anderson is in his head and he just reacted with a little too much brake???? It was really and odd place to dab a leg
I learned on one of the Racer X podcasts that Eli and Cooper choose to not use any start map, wanting full power available for them to work with, old-school style. Justin uses one, thus the hole-shot at the wet A2. I did see a photo of Eli's bike last year with a map switch by the left grip. I heard Cooper went back to mostly base settings with his bike after testing this week.
If you look really closely, it looks like his foot slipped off the peg, more than an intentional dab. I kept looking at his foot placement, to see if the peg snapped, or something else happens. You really dont see the front slide. Just a weird incident. I do hope he is ok. Ski
Wow I'm kinda shocked they don't use a start map. Mathes mentioned this again on the recap pod today.
Should have an official report tomorrow after he gets an MRI. But the initial doc report is that his knee feels like it has proper stability. Most likely was a strain and not a big injury.
The reason I say he dabbed is I caught his post on social media where he says he dabbed his foot...I cannot think of a good reason to dab there unless you are uneasy about something and everyone is coming into the corner... but you are right, to me it looks like his foot slipped? So not sure but its a weird off, hopefully he will be OK
Man, I have been watching for updates all damn day, got busy and missed it until seeing this. That really sucks for him, ACL surgery.
