Honestly with the top guys it's really not. It's usually only if there's a podium on the line or the dude has been blocking like a knob for a few laps. LCQ...yeah that's a glorified fist fight half the time.
It started in the early 90's. The crowds cheered it. The sanctioning body refused to punish it. The announcers justified it. Look up Jeff Matiasevich to see the worst example of the offenders.
I actually never bought that. I am convinced that they just play that character because they simply don't have a choice. They can't contain their natural tendencies for long, so they keep saying and doing the things that cunts say and do. Once that's been established as your personality, choices are change (which usually proves to be impossible, and the reason they are who they are to begin with), quietly hate yourself, or convince yourself that you love it by trying to convince others that you do. I once stayed at a Holiday Inn and they gave me a degree in psychology at checkout.
Did you come up with that whole "Head Space" comment on your own? I guess I could pretend ? What a great family those deegans are!! and that midget is also a great guy too!! Who doesn't love a cheater,or whiney ass with a mic?
And during the weekend you are talking about, Corporate Yamaha called the dealer, told them to tell the kid to lay down, or lose your dealership. Then, even though the kid did, the dealer pulled the kid's sponsorship, a few weeks later. Went to Europe later that year, and things fell apart there too. He cant get a ride at all now. Yeah, FUCK THE DEEGAN'S. Ski
I'm still not a big fan of the format, but it's part of the game now so I keep trying to like it better.
In Ricky Carmichael's gypsytales interview, he said that as a TV guy, he loves it. As a racer, he would have hated it. "A lot of people can go fast for twelve laps".
If Jett takes another second he has it locked up. Tomac was on fire until that case, I thought he was going all the way to 2nd but that robbed him of his momentum. Would be awesome for Kenny to keep the red plate after tonight.
Nor I but happy to see it. Also happy to see Beaumer leave with the red plate. He seems like a good, fast youngster. Rough night for him until race 3.
