Remember when tobacco companies could sponsor racing?

    That’s when riders got paid.

Why you’d be livid that some of that money filtered down to you, well, that’s a bit perplexing.

I was on a high horse about it… just me being me I guess

hated cigarettes from everyone smoking when I was a kid(as a kid I had a terrible reaction to it but outgrew it)…as I was always choking on smoke as everyone around me smoked from their teens, and my fav grandparent having lung cancer, that she beat but then got Alzheimer’s which was way worse so…

I’ve taken plenty of energy drink money from the three biggest ones, so where I draw the line is probably looks blurred to others

We need to sue the Native Americans who introduced tobacco to the world.

Not from anything I've seen. It is common where you have toll roads and limited restaurants at the state run rest areas/oasis.

I guess, y’all know YRC shut down operations, yesterday. 30,000 people without jobs. Of course, those responsible walked away wealthy. Sad deal.

That’s nearly as smart as the cops that parked on a train crossing, and put a detainee in the car.

The train didn’t stop in time.

Saving taxpayer money even with the vehicle write-off. I'm for it.

And Surge tranportation (broker) filed for bankruptcy, owes betwwen 10-5omil in freight bills to trucking companies.

Yet DAT board still allows them to post loads on their board.

Trucking business is a shit show right now.

My trucking buddy said trucking is garbage right now. Loads pay peanuts and everyone’s getting out of owner operator gig as it’s a money loser. Between costs of new trucks/ equipment, maintenance costs, insurance you gotta cheap the logbook just to break even.

At this point it pays more than being a O/O on the spot market.

If you have some contract freight you might be ok but last I heard that's getting squeezed too. Contracts don't mean shit when money is involved and there is no loyalty in this business.
