Larceny is really good (the barrel proof is excellent) and those Makers bottles in BrianC636's post are excellent as well. Weller SR and Antique 107 are both good but the 107 is what i'd go for. The Weller green and red have both been plentiful in Ohio lately. The 12 Year and Full Proof are nowhere to be found though.
If you like Blantons try Old Forrester 1910. In a side by side tasting I liked it better than the last bottle of Blanton's I had. The Elijah Craig Toasted barrel is the same proof and very good as well.
I love bourbon! Old fashioned is my go to. The favorite bourbon is Garrison Brothers from Texas. Thank me later. https://www.garrisonbros.com/
Toasted barrel is amazing. I have a single barrel select of the Blanton’s as well. A buddy of mine bought a whole barrel and got a bottle of it. The gold is the best of the bunch though at 103. What’s the feeling on Knob Creek? I keep seeing some single barrel picks locally at 120 proof but haven’t pulled the trigger on a bottle yet.
Have you done any of the ours. Woodford and Makers are really good tours. I have been several times. Buffalo Trace is also fun.
We did all of them we could while there. Makers was the best tasting of them all. Jim Beam has a very cool place (was closed to the public) and Bardstown bourbon company was super cool (modern looking).
See? I knew we had some experts here! The Widow Jane, with a couple cubes, and a little water, is pretty good. Very smooth, but maybe a little on the sweet side.
I work with a bunch of them so I have taken a few tours but others i've been to I just got a quick walk through with the people I was working with. Pretty fun industry with a bunch of good old boys. Buffalo Trace is the benchmark as far as facilities go IMO but Four Roses, Willette, Castle and Key, Bardstown Bourbon, Bulleit and MGP are all cool places. Was down at Jack Daniels a week ago and the tour came through while we were standing there looking at something. Was kinda weird to be on that side of the tour.
RD I went to pick up and order at the party source today and this was sitting on the counter for $42. I already have 2 so this one is up for grabs if you want it. It’s the big boy 1.75 just in time for the holidays!
Don't be messing with me now Heck yeah, I'll pay you a premium for it, just need to plan a trip near Cincy soon. That's stuff gold man, gold! Thank you graciously!
I'm in Carrolton almost every Friday. Should be there this week. right here https://goo.gl/maps/7B1usqgPthJ9sjBS7
