A friend gave me a bottle of this the other day. I know there are some experts here, so my question is, will this go better with Sprite or Coke?

The distillery puts the right amount of water in there. What, you think you know more than them? :D

Old Fashioned for this guy. I make my own syrup with brown sugar, orange zest, and bitters. Toss in a bourbon soaked cherry to make it all fancy and I’m a happy camper.

Worlds best Bourbon this year was awarded to one from Texas I believe. It’s not like Champagne or Port where it’s production area is linked to its criteria for status.

    I think...

Red Eagle Distillery! Anyone from north east Ohio, or visiting, check it out. The Swamp Water(the name made me try it) it was incredible!!

Bourbon is in the eye of the beholder. Personally, if I have to drink bourbon, it’s Woodford Double Oak.

    Try lowland scotch.

I've amassed a collection of about 70 bottles of bourbon in the past couple years and have one of those widow janes in there. It's pretty good but reminds me a bit of George Dickle (and a few others) in that it just doesn't have the same profile of the gold standards like Evan Williams, Wild Turkey, all of the Buffalo trace stuff ect ect. It's not bad, just different.

    70 bottles?!

You don't drink - you look?

I can't keep bottles. I guess I'm doing something wrong, but to paraphrase John Prine, there is that smile.

    Cheers,
