...from every angle ! These things are cheap and small enough to put several on your bike at once.

These things take great video for the cost and size. Get the one as listed that has no internal memory as the built in memory versions have had issues . Our RC club uses a bunch of these and we've never had a bad one . You can pick up a 4GB memory card at Walmart for 14 bucks that holds 1 hr of video. These little wonders have taken over the RC hobby as everyone uses them now it seems.

Youtube further compresses the video but here is one I shot on my little RC plane . If you select 480 res it still looks pretty good.

Here is one on a big gasser that vibrates like holy hell but it still does good.

Pay no attentention to the date as I've never got around to changing the coding to get it accurate :)

I'm just posting this cause I wanna see more racing :)

Yeah I'm trying one too for $10 not much to lose. Does the mem card go inside? The description says something about external memory.

From the pics it looks like it goes inside.

I think the OP was saying they use them for remote control vehicles. I don't think these things have ever been on a bike:D
I'm thinking velcro and then maybe a screw through the keychain loop just to be safe.

If anyone gets a bunch of these and puts them on their bike and has a sweet race or something let me know. I like to video edit as a hobby and could do picture and picture, split screen and little stuff like that. Its not rocket science but some just don't have the computer or software to do it.

I won't be back to the track for quite awhile so I won't be able to test mine out.

Here is a cool free video player, converter that lets you rotate the image to any orientation (you can place your keychain cam anywhere on the bike). It also does all the normal editing stuff like brightness, contrast etc plus plays/repairs broken files. If you lose power before writing the endfile as happens in a crash a lot of times,it will normally let you view the video anyway...cool.

I have several types of small DV recorders and this one works the best IMO. It is so small and so lightweight a simple pc of velcro holds it in place even on our fastest RC jets and the shape is so aerodynamic that they do not encounter a lot of drag also .. We have never lost one in flight but have had to search after a crash sometimes :) Some of the flyers paint them bright orange to stand out in the grass if they lose them. A pc of the heavy duty velcro would probably be overkill but might make those afraid of them falling off feel better.

I was going to put one on the bike today but it was a good chance of rain so I did not . I simply put a 1 inch pc of velcro on top of my master cylinder. I don't think vibration would be a problem. Not too many things vibrate more than my 50 size nitro heli and I just use a small pc of regular velcro on top of the canopy. It vibrates around like hell but it does ok. Here is a vid of it when I had a tail rotor failure and had to auto rotate it down in a hurry last weekend ...

Buy a few,you will have a ball at the racetrack after a little trial and error :)

I've used these mounted to a Buell 1125r upper fairing as well as duct taped to my helmet. It works very well for $12.... It also survived a 140mph crash in good condition - still works!

I tried mounting one of these as I bought mine for my RC plane too. The only issue I'm seeing is that the focal area is very tight. For a rear mount like motogp you just dont get a good FOV. BUT I did find a jelly lense thing for 3$ that turns it into a wide angle lense, I should have it this week and will be trying it at the track.

I'll give a full report when I get the lense.

video is pretty good for the price...color is off a little bit but again...great for the price...i put one on my track bike and one on my street bike...sound is usually off on mine but its ok i dont mind...usually just put some music to cover it up...

i just used some industrial velcro and it works fine....just have to remember to shut it off so it saves it or you will lose what you film...almost forgot to save my crash the other month....haha

overall id say i love it for $20 ...cant beat it....

thinking of buying more and placing them all over like the motogp guys but have been lazy

Download this video player and it will play most broken files. Let's you do a lot of other usefull things also.

This is supposed to be the latest version of the camera design also and doesn't use avi conversion. I'll have to try one soon.
