I dont believe for one second that John McCain, as repugnant an asshole as he is, would hold half the country hostage over getting his feelers hurt. Trump would I am sure but I dont believe McCain is cut from that cloth. Rather, McCain is not satisfied with the bill as written. If the Donald wants this deal done, he needs to get with McCain right away, apologize for being a douche, and see if they can work this out.

Yes, 2000/2008 primary. No 2008 general. Palin was inexcusable and McCain temporarily lost his spine and became a GOP puppet once he got the nomination and Palin hit the ticket.

Not even remotely the same. Palin was forced on him and it threw him off big time both as she ate up his camera time with her "I can see Russia" bs and as she bastardized his "maverick" message to mean "uninformed idiot". I have always been independent but I made it official after that election and can no longer vote in either primary since I'm not in an open primary state.

 

People were scared of Palin because of sexism. They just didn't want a female VP. Anyone who voted against McCain because they were scared of a woman in the White House is a bigot and should be shamed.
