Scored last minute tickets for the race weekend from a Ferrari connection. Such a different vibe from the bikes. Seems so many fans are here because of the Netflix series. Qualifying was good fun yesterday. Looking forward to the start today.

The post-day traffic chaos at COTA is remarkable. It took me 2.5 hours to get back to my car yesterday.

That race started slow but man what a finish.

 

Does the broadcast only use in car remarks from some drivers? Hamilton is on his radio constantly crying about something. Why isn't Russell on his radio? Max talked about the wind a few times.

 

I'm so over the celeb shots. Hardly any of them actually care about the racing, but they get more coverage than 3/4s of the drivers. (See Tim Apples flag waving)

 

They have to be selectively broadcasting comments. I agree though Hammy was a whiny one. It's not like anyone in the world who follows F1 didn't know that Red Bull had the superior car this week. I think any of them can be though.

 

Agreed, why do I have to see Brad Pitt at all in the last 50 laps of the race?

Is it me or are the US races where F1 teams let their "freak" flag fly? Seems we get a lot of the special liveries, helmets, race suits, etc.

If that's the price to pay to get more people to see his F1 movie, more fans in the stands are in front of their TV, and more money into the sport to support the smaller teams, they can put his face in a corner of the screen for the entire race. I'm good with that.

Almost a rookie GP2 champion, then did okay in F1, now in Formula E, he's literally at the bottom. Maybe he'll find that spark again though, who knows.
