I was the Assistant Commissioner of the Kentucky High School Hockey League for 5 years. I don't know what you guys are talking about...when a parent complained to me, I told them to fuck off. Problem solved

 

<lady> "What are you as an org going to do to help my kid get recruited and a scholarship to a D1 school?"

<me> "Mame, the kids I'm coaching are 11 and 12. No D1 school cares about recruiting them and they can't until junior year in high school. (and under my breathe) not to mention your kid has all the athletic ability of moss on a rock."

<lady now almost yelling> "But these kids need a leg up to get into a good college and we are looking to add sports to her language lessons and music! What are you going to do for us!?!?"

The season "starts" Saturday and I'm on the fence about being done and just sleeping late on weekends.

 

If I remember correctly, isn't your kid one of "rougher" ones? Methinks that Karen's kid would be one of the ones on the "hit" list.

My kid was called the boogeyman and baba yaga by some of the younger kids for awhile and they were afraid of her. They like her now, she has worked with a few of them to play a more "aggressive" style and just pass and catch. lol!

Funny seeing this little kids follow her around calling her coach now.

 

You need to play DRI or DK or BlackFlag before every meeting...
Get yourself in the mood...

Yep, hockey is not a sanctioned sport in Kentucky.
