Greg You made a nice work!About the all body in aluminium,or you will make or Ronald Agoston could supply you( seat,fairing...).About the brake,a drum????In Europe (UK,France...),we set iron cast disc,AP racing caliper,Ferodo pads! So, we can stop the bike!!!! PS:I also use glass bead for my skull! This advice comes from my guru! Shiny Skull
Greg, Where did you get the seat from? Is this the same seat that is made by Air-Tech for the Hansen CR450? Also if you need a new flanged rim to go with your CB450 front brake, I have two extra 18x1.85x40 rims I need to sell. Thanks, Joe
whats the story behind the cam boxes??? those are bitchen cool. like the stator cover too. really neat. jc
Regnat.....thats a beautiful motor! Looks like you are using some of Franco's nice race bits. I have one of his steel cam chain sprockets in this motor...nice setup. One day i'm gonna use those bits you have on your motor. Also....only thing left to make in alloy is the rear seat. The sportsman class in AHRMA cannot use fairings or disc brakes. Thanks for the
Joe.....the seat is a CR450 Hansen seat....I get them from a guy at Mid-Ohio each year. As for the rim........if you have a 2.15(wm3) 18 40 hole I may be interested....do you have one?
Greg, Thanks for the info on the seat, I need one for a CB160 project I am working on. Sorry, I have three new rims that I don't need but they are all 1.85. The bike looks great. Best of luck with the rest of the project. Joe
Hey CharlieY....hope you dont mind me answering that one. Yeah....thats the roller bearing conversion, with the option to run oil lines directly to the cam ends. There is also a conversion to do your stock cam supports with roller bearings. Personally....I like the above setup!!!
Okay...heres a pic of the complete get-up ....and a motor with it all installed. Hopefully one day:up:
Thought i'd post a few pics of some bracing I started doing on the swingarm. First thing to do was remove the stock brake stay mount, as this was gonna be in the way of the new brace that is gonna be welded in. I'll relocate this mount once I have the brace finished. I used some 1/2" solid round rod from Lowes....max dia for bracing is 5/8"....but that just seemed way to big(and very heavy) for the CB350 swingarm. Please note...the swingarm is upside down in these pics.....brace will be on the bottom of the swingarm. With the brake stay removed....I then figured out where to bend and cut the brace to weld into the rear swingarm plates. ...and this is where we got to this evening before calling it a night Still left to do is weld in some bracing to tie the front of the swingarm(where the bronze bushing are) into the front of the brace. Then I will add some mid-span struts in between the brace and the swingarm to tie it all together as a unit. ...more to come
Lionel, Yes....should be okay. The brace follows the inside of the swingarm pretty close....and at the front(closest to the chain) the brace is turning away from the chain. Thanks for the heads up:up:
