Probably nothing. The commentators were noting that DeLaporta is on his way out and probably back to Moto3, as he has done nothing in moto2 of note.
The M2 shuffle should be interesting this year. Foggia is the only M3 rider up to now confirmed to go up. D. Binder is reported to go down (nothing signed) Schrotter is out of a ride (but not necessarily out of M2) Same with Della Porta.
i asked a few jornos on the twitter when the rory skinner news came out and they all told me that he isnt going anywhere. for context, that was months ago, so no idea where he stands now.
Bradl said: "Ten years ago I would not come to this [Marquez’s] room, I would say ‘wrong address’. I was jealous when Marc came to MotoGP." Also talks about Nicky Episode 2 https://www.crash.net/motogp/news/1...ldsbk-one-my-biggest-mistakes-jealous-marquez
In terms of cash? Dunno. In terms of team? I would think. Pons has Aron Canet on podiums regularly and in the Moto E series, had Cassiday and Jodi Torres as front runners. The Robert’s rumor was linked this past weekend during Moto2 qualifying.
Pons is well funded and a team that’s tossed about as stepping (back) up to motogp whenever grid spots open up. Better than Italtrans? Don’t know but it seems to be a step sideways rather than down.
This. They got something working for them in Canet. Hopefully JRob makes the transition and it works out for him.
After Italtrans won the championship, Bastianini’s crew chief became Cam’s crew chief at American Racing at the start of ‘21. He left after a short period with very little comment. Always wondered what happened there.
Moto2 seems so simple. Get a good rider, find a solid budget, smart crew chief, a team manager who can count to ten (who cares if he has to use his fingers?), ohlins best, an experienced crew and the latest Kalex. seems that way but of course there’s more to it.
