I remember similar accusations of cheating against Andrea Iannone in 2010, when he was flying past everyone else. Turned out he was doing exactly what Marquez' team says Marquez does - getting off the brakes and back on the throttle sooner than all the other riders.

 

I read that that DORNA has allready made a retro active rule change
so marquez wont be DQ ed.

 

I am going to throw this out there since this bbs is the place for wild cover up conspiracies. He rides for HRC, HRC supplies "sealed" engines for the whole field. So couldn't HRC supply him with extra special "sealed" engines? I blame it all on the Illuminati.

 

The engines are randomly distributed, and not by HRC.


Marquez speed on the straights always did look suspicious to me though.

I don't think HRC builds the engines. Geo Technology does.

Every time I watched a Moto2 race I waited for this topic to come up and this is the first I've seen of it. It was crazy watching those helicopter shots of him blowing past bikes, and as good of a rider as he is it looked like he was holding guys up in the corners at times. Must have been frustrating for his competitors.
