Funny thing, I did some quick cruising on the Fiat site, just looking at what's on lots. Almost all have the automatic transmission. Just who would buy this roller skate with an auto? Chick mobile only?
I'm only reminded about irrational purchases when I go to the tag office every year. They like me there....
I like going to the tag office, getting my new stickers, then going home and putting them on the pile from last year that never got put on the trailers because I didn't use them
Fair enough. I'm sure I would have some fun with it too, but most of the 47 miles (one way) I drive are pretty boring 2 lane roads with 55 mph speed limit. I'll go have some fun on the weekend, but to and from work will be pretty conservative. Phone call with the finance manager tonight, so we'll see what happens.
My dad had a Lotus Europa twin cam when I was a kid. I had a deposit down on the Elise, by the time it came into America and my name came up to buy, I was trying to buy my business and needed the money for my down payment. Would still love to get an Elise or Exige.
Are those the ones with the celice engines? I was pipe-dreaming about one a couple years ago,but never got much further than that. They look like a ton of fun
Yes the one pictured and the ones I wanted are Toyota engines. The Exige is supercharged. My dad's was a Ford 1600 cc block with a big valve twin cam head made by Cosworth. His had a Weber carb too.
And I rationalized it by putting this up for sale. But it didn't sell. So I'm keeping it. Sold my KTM 690 instead. Wife asked about comparative costs. "Doesn't matter. One vehicle in. One vehicle out" Rationalization is more important than sex. After all when was the last time you went a month without a rationalization? Rationalizing the irrational. An acquired survival skill.
This one is 2006 Exige Cup Car. Was not intended for the street. Factory track car. Yes I got it tagged. Full cage, no AC, Fire system, and yes a sweet Supercharged Toyota lump. Had 670 miles on it. Now about 730. Making Papa crazy. C'mon March!
