There'd be some blokes from Virginia reporting their boards were missing.

Lol I believe it. Every jacked up $80k diesel pickup in Kill Devil Hills has Virginia plates. Annoying fuckers.

Some of these inland counties are losing their minds. Stoneville, NC declared a state of emergency. Money grab is my only guess but that's just preposterous. Lots of doom and gloom news.

COuld be a money grab but could be they were involved in the last huge flooding that about swamped the entire state east of the mountains.

I was just reading about the worries with all the big hog operations in NC. Manure lagoons might overflow and could have thousands of dead pigs. That will be a nice mess.

Evertime it floods the damns fail on the hog lagoons, I think they plan it that way, otherwise where does it go?

I'm watching the news, I'd go ballistic if I had to sit in that traffic.
I've been told that I should be good as far as storm surge, keeping a watch as the path is more defined.

I spoke briefly to some of my neighbors this afternoon. Many of them moved here in the past 3-5 years and have never experienced a major storm near the East Coast. They are in near panic mode buying a bunch of shit and hoarding water as if we’re going to the dark ages. We’re a couple of hours inland so I expect power outages but nothing more. We keep the house well stocked and I always have propane so I’m not worried.

Working on it. If it looks to be to dangerous, I have evacuation plans made.
