I've been listening to The Warning a little lately. An all woman, Mexican hard rock band. Picture No Doubt with no ska influence. They're a lot of fun. The singer enunsiates so clearly, it's a little distracting.

 

One of the best written, produced and performed albums of all time.

Yes, I liked this from Day 1, still my favorite Mothers album. Added bonus at the time of release was that my girlfriend's name was Evelyn. That song drove her nuts!

 

I'm working on the Tina! Broadway tour at the moment so I'm listening to... Tina Turner.

And… yesterday I woke up hearing London Grammar in my head…. Spent the day listening to her angelic voice mostly live versions like the KXRP sessions as she speaks too and her personality makes it even better…

I’d like to understand the mechanics of pleasantries provided by some sounds and music, especially female voices. Incredibly uplifting at times.

they opened for Tool at the Riviera in Chicago way back in like 94 or 95 iirc… sang half the song with a bullhorn and the pit was good and I bought their cd but realized it kinda sucked… caught up in the moment…

I’ve not thought of them and or listened to that one disc I have in close to three decades now I’m sure… thanks for the memory jog though
