Me too. Sounds legendary! Jen might not agree if she reads post 37, though. Her lawyer might not either.
I think I deserve to say that after having to deal with her on the phone (BTW, her husband was nothing but pleasant to speak to)
Nothing in there a lawyer could remotely use. Yeah anyone can sue, dealing with that shit now, but it won't go anywhere.
Richard -- Yelp sucks, but its a monster businesses have to deal with. If the reviewer is a "known yelper" (with several past reviews) the review sticks....if it's the reviewer's first review, it usually gets canned. For the hell of it, I left you a 5 star review
Is it bad that the term "known yelper" seems really really close to "loud whiner" in actual definitions?
"Influencer" "Hi I'm a pretty big influencer and I'll be reviewing your restaurant on my Insta page. Can I have a free desert and a drink or two?"
Yelp is a racket. I'm in the hospitality biz and these guys are calling incessantly to have us "claim" our business's page on Yelp. I was never inclined to do so, and even less after reading this thread. Fuck em
Another one is Angies List. I got a horrible review from a woman that had never been in my shop. She got me confused with another place not too far away that is a clusterfuck. It would have taken an act of Congress to get it removed.
People used to just jump strait to threatening lawsuits. Now first we get the "ill leave a bad review online" and THEN the lawsuit word comes out.
