My Maytag died with the front panel not working. Looked it up, Whirlpool makes it and the part is back ordered. Paid 450 for the dishwasher 150 for the front panel go figure.
Mine has heat dry, but what works better is to just open the dishwasher at the end of the wash cycle and pull out the racks. Jiggle the glasses that have a drop in the bottom and let everything air dry. Because they're hot, it takes only minutes.
Whatever dishwasher you get, if/when you run out of the liquid detergent, do NOT substitute Dawn instead. I filled the thing up with Dawn, got back from the gym and it was suds 12" deep over the whole kitchen.
Unfortunately I don't. I freaked out at first because I didn't know what was going on. I could have filled up a dump truck with all of the suds. But when I first walked in the house I just saw a foot of white shit everywhere. Then I smelled it and was like "ohfuckme". You wouldn't believe how long it took me to clean that shit up. I was amazed at how hard it is to dilute/clean up Dawn.
That is one way to look at it. I never thought Dawn could be that greasy. It was slimy feeling. And when I would try to clean it up with water, it would just get more slimy. It took me like 4 hours.
Our Kitchenaid is so quiet I have to look for the little light on the door to tell if it's running. Only issue so far was a small piece of broken glass that caused the drain pump to jam. Quick albeit wet fix.
 Chris, pics of that, next to pics of your water purchase would be classic. DON'T BROOME WITH BROOME!!!
