how do they compare to 2-stroke bikes? Handling and all that.

It looks like a 125RS chassis with a 4 banger in it. Probably handles about the same, but with more weight on front, engine braking, and no ring-ding-ding sound. Cold starts must be a bitch unless it has an electric start. But I doubt that.

If anybody can find the spec sheet on this thing please let me know. I have looked all over the web with no luck.

I can't wait for them to build the same thing in a size I can fit on. Like a GPMR450F. . .

Awesome, about time. I'm an ex-2 smoker but I'm all for the next-gen 4 strokes.

THats the bike I wanted to build now they might have one from the factory. unless this is a scam.

    Bike Weight 86kg (189lbs)
    Bhp Undisclosed as yet
Motor platform is from the CRF250X (Enduro) dirt bike.
Class is not announced yet, but they did the same thing with the CRF150 earlier last year. Release a bike, create a class.

My partners in europe and I speculate they will push this bike heavily in Europe first ( due to such a strong GP following) and then in the US as a secondary market...

Reports are engine is very linear power delivery(= VERY forgiving for mistakes mid corner)....

We supsect a 450 (or something) coming this way shortly.....

If you like this, wait until you see what Aprilia has up their sleeve.........( sick!!)

I thought the RSV450/RSV550 is a dead horse............don't get us all excited again for nothing. Tell us if you got the inside news.

I'll love it when they have one in middle weight.

I'll also be the first one to put a deposit down on one! Assuming it'll be accepted as a real GP bike IE:USGPRU

I remember a while back, the folks/folk at USGPRU saying that they would'nt allow 4 strokes til either the FIM changes the rules or there is a thoroughbred factory bike available. Well, here it is.

You'll just have to wait and see what they ( Aprilia ) throw down.....was given the info on the QT and sworn to secrecy...wont hear it from me until "they" say otherwise....

Keep your eye on the Honda...thats the immediate fun....
