A1 is this weekend. Any of y’all watching?

I watched a few rounds last year, but then switched over to watching WSBK and GPs once their seasons started.

There are some good storylines coming out of the offseason. I’m hoping Tomac can win the title, but I think Webb takes it. I also wouldn’t mind seeing Roczen win the title, but he doesn’t seem hungry for it, whereas Webb and Tomac seem to have more of a point to prove.

Im hoping to see Plessinger kick some ass. He looked pretty leaned out in the preseason show, not to mention the killer stache.

I hope Tomac kicks Duppa (ass) with his new Yamaha ride.
What's everyone's thoughts on Anderson this season???

We should really see this year if AP7 has it. He's moved to KTM and is training with Aldon Baker. That's been a deadly combination in years past. He's a hometown boy, so I hope so.

I'm on the fence with Tomac and the Yamaha. That bike is typically shit indoors, and no one has ever really gotten it to the front of late. I like Eli, so I hope he can.

Malcolm Stewart is training with Baker also and is on the Husky, so he should be fast. Fitness and injuries have always seemed to be his biggest issue in the past. Hopefully he takes his training more serious so he's more fit and can recover better.

Ken will be Ken again on the Honda. Lightning fast, but injury prone and is a head case. Looking forward to seeing what Chase Sexton will do this year. He was sniffing the front a good bit last year.

Adam Cianciarulo just tweeked his shoulder a few weeks ago, but says he's fine. If he's fine, he'll be at the front. Not sure what to think about Jason Anderson on the Kawi. I just read that they're the Moto2 team of the pit, and don't like to change the bike for the riders.

Suzuki won't be doing shit in the 450's.

250's are a toss up. Too many guys can win on any of the bikes, as they're all really pretty good. I just watch the races!

Looking forward to the start of the season, and already have my tickets to Indy!

Lots of unknowns going into this season:
    • Will Anderson like the Kawi? If so, top 5
    • Can Roczen race a season?
    • How does Tomac like the YZ?
    • Is the new KTM ready for primetime, and actually an improvement?
I think Sexton, Plessinger, and M. Stewart will be good as well as Anderson, with some wins coming from this group. Tomac, Roczen, and Webb for wins on most nights. Ferrandis could be a regular in top 5, or not. I think Musquin and Barcia will have moments but generally be outside top 5. Adam C is already injured, but racing.

edit: Tomac or Webb for title. How they gel with new bike and Tomac’s starts will be the tell.

There are 8-9 guys who can win mains this year - at least. Webb, Sexton and Roczen are where my money would go. I'll be pulling for Tomac the most. Must see TV.

I’ll be rooting for Plessinger and his porn stache! Dude is a local boy and he cracks me up. It should be a good season with several capable of winning. Webb, Rockzen and Tomac should all be pretty tough.

+1 on Plessinger. Been a fan for a long time and love watching him race (and win!). Hopefully he makes the top step this year and is a regular on the podium. I think KTM made a smart move with him to bring some excitement to the brand. Just can't get excited about Webb and while I really hope that Marvin has a good year, there is a ton of talent in the 450 class. He did do well in Paris and I think he'll be on the podium more than in the past and could be a contender this year for the title.

I think Tomac will come out swinging, Roczen I would like to win the title just because he's due but I think the first couple of races will set that stage for a yea or nay. Ditto for Anderson, personally I think it'll be 5-10 for him most weekends. The dark horses will be Sexton, Stewart, Barcia, AC. Ferrandis is a big question mark. Normally not a front runner in SX but I think having Tomac to chase around on the test track will help his speed. Podiums and a win here and there but not a contender for the overall.

I've been waiting for someone to begin this discussion! So many possible contenders again this year, though I know that's a trite statement. I personally don't feel that Andersen will be much of a factor, but I do believe Dylan Ferrandis might be highly motivated to prove that he's the real deal on 450s, along with his former teammate and huge fan favorite A.P, Mookie, and Chase. Barcia ALWAYS has something to prove. I'm hoping my home state 'senior citizen' Justin Brayton also still does in his last year, despite his long odds. Should be another epic season, for sure!

We bought our 9th annual Daytona SX tickets at last year's race. After 22 straight years attending Atlanta SX races, we've passed on last year's 'covid' races at ATL Motor Speedway. Likely will again, as it would mean a hotel for us to go.

Whats the best way to watch live this year? We did the Hulu thing last year and it royally sucked.

I don’t know any of the riders or even which bike is the one to have but I think I might try and get back into watching the jumping dirty bikes.

okay, what’s the deal with the Suzukis? Just pastors use by date? Seems to be the suck the last few years.

RacerX (Illustrated) will post a link to all of the 'How to Watch' options on how to watch both practice and the night show, either later today or tomorrow. I do know that it's been switched mostly to CNBC this year, so the practice and shows should still be streamed either on NBC Gold, or The Peacock Network.

They haven't been willing to allocate much of a budget to SX for years now. Second year of backing only a few prominent privateers, if I recall correctly.

cnbc, usa network, and real nbc for all live events. note the first 6 races start at 10pm eastern time, ending at 1am. for me, that means, 6 lost Sunday's sleeping in. :D

both the 250 and 450 classes are stacked. love watching the racing action, and I am in the ABT club... ANYONE BUT TOMAC. ;) would like to see Marvin, or Kenny get theirs. but, again, love watching the racing action. Ski

Our Peacock programing guide does not show the same schedule as what Racer X 'How to Watch' says, with everything supposedly on later.
