Certainly a good thing, no one could argue that (edit: I'm sure someone will). Unfortunately, unemployment data is not nearly as worthwhile as workforce participation or engagement data... which does not put as bright of a picture on it. Nor does the percentage of those employed, who are receiving government benefits as a subsidy for the private sector to keep them at low wages. Hopefully if the economy doesn't crash, we can begin working on the second two issues.

Depends on how bad the beatdown is. If they lose enough house seats and get an electoral beating, they can choose to pivot and moderate or lose forever. If the Reps take back the house, the bullshit will subside.

 

If they keep going down this road he may be the first president in a long time to have control of the house and senate in his second term.

 

Even if DJT wins and both the House and the Senate are Republican, I predict that the nonsense will continue. There will enough RINO bitches to demand concessions for their votes to stop the swamp draining/wall building/budget balancing that this country so desperately needs. It will be a pivot, for sure, but the Republicans will squander the opportunity like they did in 2016.
