Man the industry is dieing. Faster than I imagined. 2 fantastic retailers in 1 week. What can we do to change it? When does it change? Xt Racing and now riders discount. Arai is cutting their roadrace budget also.
Wow. But with the lack of moto sales these days and the economy, not suprising. I can't even afford track days anymore.
Not to get to dungeony, but where I am at, the economy is better than it has been in the last 10-12 years. As far as bike sales and race attendance, dmg did serious harm to our sport.
My "personal economy" sure isn't doing anything. DMG sucked for sure, but puhleez... "race on Sunday, sell on Monday" hasn't been a thing since long before they came along.
WTF???? I woke up and saw this! Damn TJ sorry to hear. Thanks again for the service and great deals you guys have given us over the years. You guys will be sorely missed.
Sportbikes fit the same catagory as luxury cars to me, a want not a need. When I started at my job here at the dealership [2011 ish] we were selling 50-60 cars a month. For the past 4-5yrs its been 30/month. Motorcycles are the same thing sales wise, which tells me the economy is better in specific local's but not overall in the nation. I think dungeon material is if we start arguing why that is vs just whats actually happening
Even more companies could learn more about not going out of business by paying attention. RD's customer service wasn't what put them out of business. Almost everyone in the biz knows the score. It'd be really refreshing if they went out on an honest note.
