But let's assume for a second the AR was designed EXPLICITLY for man killing. So? The supreme court has held that a person has a right to self defense. Again, ASSUMING that the primary design goal of the AR15 was to kill humans, wouldn't it hold logical that ANYONE concerned about their personal safety would and should own one?

Or, it's quite simply the cheapest rifle cartridge by a LONG WAY and it's hand for medium range plinking, varmit killing, paper shredding, small game...which, btw is what it's used for 99.9999% of the time. Ask the FBI uniform crime stats if you don't believe me. More people will be killed from hand to hand fighting this year than ALL RIFLES COMBINED.
