I didn't say it was a new substance. You claimed that a rock is lava. Unlesx, by your own definition, that rock is molten, it is not lava. The actual definition of water is the liquid state of H2O. Ice is not liquid...

Why do we bother saying "water vapor," then?

 

To differentiate it from the multiple other forms of vapor. Steam would be more analogous to ice, in that it describes a particular material state of H2O. The English language is neither logical nor consistent

 

Other things can vaporizer besides water…Can we get back to Rea VS Toprak? This thread is fing boring.

I've never participated in any attempt to keep a discussion on topic. I shall attempt to make amends. Gerloff's performance this weekend leads me to believe that Toprak may not actually be clinically insane.

I was once an anthropologist, but gave that up many years ago in favor of taking advantage of the downtrodden proletariat. (I was a landlord). I returned to track and field when my son's high school team needed a competent coach. Much to my surprise, I discovered that I get a great deal of satisfaction from helping teenagers achieve their goals, both on and off the track. They seem to appreciate me in spite of the fact that I'm a grumpy old man. My son has long since graduated, but here I am.

 

I can't help but wonder if someone else placed those words in his mouth.
