Regarding entry to the paddock, we plan to arrive early Thursday afternoon to get setup, registered (we did not pre-register) and tech'ed in for the weekend. Last year I was able to get in early, however I'm just noticing that Thursday entry is pre-registered only until 5PM. Will we not be able to get setup until after then? Will we miss the chance to register Thursday and have to do everything first thing Friday morning?

That's how they have it set up. If you do not pre enter you can't get in until after 5pm. You'll be able to enter and tech Friday morning. Pre entry closes in two days at midnight.
We tried to do a track walk last year on Friday night because my son had never been on the course and they didn't allow it.
Spectator bicycles permitted anywhere on Mid-Ohio property, with the exception of the paddock and pit areas.
Will you be emailing letters again to allow early entry for pre-entrants? As I recall you needed those to get in before 5pm.
Bicycles yes. No way on track walks or rides - the issue is the spectator turnout, as soon as they see anyone out there everyone jumps the fence to go play.
