Gary, Darrin, Chip, Roach. . . All good guys who I'll deal with. I wouldn't hessitate to send someone to any of them. Who "you" decide to deal with is your deal. Not directed at anyone, just stating it.
How many times does this happen a day?? That's why I'm putting much of my used parts on e-bay. Something about customer loyalty.Just like in the tire thread, I have guys coming into the shop, wanting me to install parts, tires, ect that they have either bought online, or from another dealer. I tell them, that I will do it once! And if they want to start a relationship with my shop, and thier bike, they need to start purchasing from my shop. I explain that they might be able to get better prices on a few things, but in the long run, they will be better off making me happy Stay tuned
Wow, just reread this. NEVER would I leverage a deal or price I get from you against a price from XXX. Not my style dude. A $20 savings on a $600 item isn't worth my relationship with a dealer, I value that. If you take my posts that way, then you're incorrect. Now that we're both on the same page, who'll give me the best deal on a metric screwdriver?
FYI: Why I asked for a list of what "you" sell is to direct people in the right direction. Makes my and their life easier or so I thought (short term). Mistake on my part really. It seems to be a conflict of interest on my relationship as a moderator and a consumer. I'm off to watch Dodge Ball, have fun all.
Think about it. A happy Gary is a good thing. I charge nothing if you buy a set off take-offs to mount, off the bike.$10 a wheel on. $20 if you bought a set of new ones from me[got to cover shipping].Now if you bought those same tires from Billy Bob down the street, that does not have a tire machine, guess what $60 to $80 for the set, depending on the bike.
what? Make it harder and more expensive for the customer to do business with you and that will keep them coming back? Into the mushrooms again? The complete tire changing equipment from harbor freight is right around $75. Mr. Customer learns to use it and he never sets foot in your shop again. IMHO, a happy customer should make Gary happy. Not the other way around.
Why, yes, it is. And the complete mechanic's tool set is available from Sears for not a whole lot. Buy the parts and all online and have at it. There are millions of Levers in this world.
Neither implied nor thought. Just wanted to put that out in the open. I told Chip that a long time ago, and it's worked to keep things from getting out of hand.
Yes sir, go ahead and change your chromed, powder coated, or polished wheel yourself. Then when it's fucked up, you can send it out to have it repaired, say a cost of $200, you can reread this post. The protection kit is $200 alone. Balancer and Changer are another $3000+. I am in the position, that I do not need customers coming into the shop with other shops products.I provide a service to those who understand that. I'm offering track days to locals that want to learn how to ride properly. Does the internet or other shops do that?I show my customers how to set thier suspension up for free, again does the lower price place?
The bayliss. We just got back to the shop today from nelsons and I saw the closeout sheet laying on the table...just glanced at it. There were 5 or 6 replicas...all 04 helmets.
Just because it doesn't fit your head properly has nothing to do with the helmet overall. I went from an Arai RX7RR to a Spec1R and it was great for me. The Suomy fits me better than the Arai ever did.
That just proves it would fit like crap..........If it fits that melon then it will not fit normal people.
Actually it does, but I never said anything about that. Only a dupe would pay that much for a helmet without trying it on first.
