    You two are knuckleheads...

Darrin insulting folks calling them "Levers" and Doggie boy pulling out one of the oldest lines in the book "nah-nah, I told you so!" and even tossing in a "Now whattya gonna do, sucker???" for good measure.

My apologies for wasting your bandwidth on this one Mongo...

No, Sir. Didn't mean to be insulting.

Just used Lever's name to mean there are alot of people in this world who will try and save money by working on their own stuff, and end up paying twice as much to fix what they messed up.

Mostly just continuing your comment of how cheap tire changing machines are.

And the last time either of you two had your "race" bikes at the track, which one would not start for the rider?

    dtalbott Driving somewhere, hauling something.

Mine, but it started for me as soon as I got there.

Sure is a pity having a sick wife and two sick kids when WERA comes to town, but we do what we have to do.

    Now what was your point?

It is do not try to take shots at people about their equipment that are not even in this conversation when the "bike" you brought to the track was not in the condition to be raced. Oh yeah you saved money by not having someone qualified work on it so it was OK.

    You're right, as always.

Jeff, I apologize. I used your name as an example of someone who tried to fix something and caused more damage. Sorry.

Strick, the bike was dropped off to Chad and crew because I was taking care of my sick family. They cranked the bike up and rode it in the paddock Saturday night. Everything was fine, and it was ready to be raced.

I don't know how a wire came loose. It won't happen again.

Thank you again for pointing out the error of my ways.

being there, and being one of the people working on the bike to get it going for the race, there was nothing wrong with it at first, there were a few loose ends to finish up, but we had it running and ready to go before 3 or so on sat afternoon. chad or dave was going to take it out in the solo, but they didnt have anypractice on it, and werent going to risk it out there. the bike was ready to go when it was rolled into the trailer on sat night, no issues. somehow overnight, or when initially trying to start the bike up on sun morning the wire under the seat came lose, and we were unaware it might be an issue. IT WAS NO FAULT OF ANYONES, just a missed issue, we didnt think to check, darrin didnt warn us about, just an unfortunate situation.

there is no reason to bash someone for this situation, all other times it was brought up as a joke. Darrin did nothing wrong with the bike, and even though some attachment methods used were not something i would do, he is a compotent wrench, undiserving of this abbuse

just my opinion, to yoiu being your normal asshole self:rolleyes:

Brian, thank you, but I'm far from a competent wrench. I like to tinker, and I do know my limits.

I have a competent mechanic who helps me when I need it, though.

    Again, thanks.

Putter Ain't too proud to beg

Darrin brings his bike to borrow to someone else so they can get some track time, and you ride him about the condition it's in?

Strick-You are a complete fucking asshole.

    darrin, sir no problem,
you are still officially the man,

So it's okay for Darrin to bash Lever who hasn't posted in weeks yet it's not okay for Strick to bash Darrin when Darrin was indeed being an ass to Lever?

Damn, muct be some seriously discounted part peddling going on.

I think you guys need to pop them rosy colored shades off and take a look at reality.

  12. Putter

Putter Ain't too proud to beg

Yep. Lever likes the attention and expects it. You asked if T.Augie ever saw a commercial for Pillsbury. I laughed. :D

But Strick has been going out of his way to be an ass to Darrin and the bike thing was over the top.

Nothing to do with parts discounts.

    yeah what he said

lever has it coming, its mostly jokes, but no one tells lever he cant do the work, we attempt to help him with it. (wether thats to hear what and how bad he can f something up, or because we are actually nice is up in the air though);) :D

Strick attacked Darrin, using a situation that was #1 out of his control, as darrin could not be there for family issues, #2 was a simple miss on everyones part, if we knew we would have fixed it, if we had looked hard we might have found it, but its one of those things hindsight is 20/20!

parts discounts? uhh NO, Darrin is an all around good person, good people dont diserve stupid bashings for no good fucking reason, just because someone feels like being an ASSHOLE:mad:

Jeff hasn't posted in weeks - yet he still has it coming? Okay, hippocrisy is alive an well on the BBS as usual.

Just curious - what did Brian say that was factually incorrect?

  15. Strick

    Strick Good to be king

Listen big boy, I really don't care what condition the bike was in. I just find it amusing Darrin wanted to act like the BBS funny man and pick on Lever when his stuff wouldn't run. And I feel sorry for the reason he could not be there but that has nothing to do with getting a bike prepped and ready before hand.

And for you guys that are just BBS surfers that want to call me an asshole, that is cool, but show up to more than 1 weekend beforeyou start acting like you know what the fuck is going on. And as long as Darrin spews crap he will get it back at him. I don' need to kiss his ass, I can get a parts discount other paces.
    ;)

Lawn Dart Difficult. With a big D.

Were you there when Darrin's bike wouldn't start? I don't remember seeing you there.

I will take that for what it is worth......Just another tool on the BBS that likes to talk smack about racing but has been the track a total of one time.

Rock on stud boy.....your post count is looking good.

  19. Strick

    Strick Good to be king

Did I need to be there??? Did the bike start or not? If not then it was not ready for the track and said "mechanic" should not make fun of another person if they can not get there stuff together.

And taking a shot at Lever like that is not joking with Lever it is a cheap way to score some laughs on the BBS.
