Son, I've probably got more "cowboy" hats than you have lice. Straw, felt, work, dress, even a dedicated drinkin' one! None of `em look like that poser POS with the brim turned up like that. You shape it thataway for better aerodynamics?
I've used a Solarweave® Outback Hat from Duluth Trading for teaching MSF classes the last 4 years. It's outstanding.
Just picked one of these today. Great hat, and it's priced right! http://www.rei.com/product/778057/columbia-omni-shade-bora-bora-booney-hat
No, but some people might be scared to see me. Ok, more like pissed to see me. But that's there problem, not mine!
Like Dits said, it's too hot for felt in the summer down south. Have to go with the Resistol TRC, it's got an absorbent sweat and a well ventilated crown. Goes well with the socks, too.
I know, I don't wear mine in the summer. This is my track hat. http://www.cabelas.com/catalog/prod...1631C34&mr:referralID=NA&WTz_l=YMAL;IK-956783 And, you should upgrade, beacuse PC was right about that thing you have now.
Indeed. I had the dermo cut and freeze some bits off last visit. I grew up in FL, and both parents have had lots of bits scraped off over the years. I wear 30 SPF and the biggest, cheapest straw hat I can find, which is usually at a grocery store or gas station along the coast. I just had to retire my last hat (w/ the mustache) after six years of faithful service.
