No way I'd live where it gets that cold without having wood, at least as a backup. We get 30 below here once in a while but I've got a wood furnace and a genny to run the blower.

 

Yeah I'm sorry, but if you live waaay the fuck up there and you're relying on electricity for your sole source of heat with no backups, that's just asking for it!

Edit: just looked it up and it ain't really that far north, but there's still no way I'd live there without some redundancy in heating!
